When the quiet isn’t empty
A note on hiddenness, waiting, and the difference between silence and absence.
Silence can feel like an empty room. Yet not every quiet place is abandoned. Some are places where roots are growing beyond our sight.
Waiting does not answer every question. It can, however, teach us to listen for more than the loudest voice.
